What's on in Meribel this week 3rd March 2017

Take a trip to Asia with Evolution’s all you can eat International Thai Buffet. At only €20 per head and with a jam packed menu boasting prawn & cod Thai fishcakes, satay chicken, beef rendang curry, sticky pork belly salad, pad thai noodles and coconut rice, it’s one not to be missed. Guest Thai cocktails also on offer followed by some live music with Sian Smith, Jass, Max le Sax and Westy for Evo’s infamous Open Mic night from 22:30.

Just next door at Jacks Bar, pick up a plate of nachos and a jug of beer for €30 anytime before 20:00 or a burger, chips and drink for €15 at Lodge du Village in Meribel Village.

Sunday is Fun-do Night at La Taverne restaurant. Pay €20 for a sirloin steak cooked to perfection OR cheesy Savoyarde fondue. Then, later on upstairs in the bar, groove to tunes played by Ze Funkin English and enjoy 2-4-1 spirit mixers, wine, beer and sodas.

Toss the Boss is on again this Sunday at Lodge du Village. Play the game with the boss by rolling the dice for your chance to win a free round, any round. A popular night in resort and a Lodge du Village tradition, which kicks off from 22:00.

Lot’s of Sunday live music kicking off this week from 22:00 including The Wingmen at Evolution, DJ Kaya at Le Pub and a surprise DJ at Jacks Bar for the weekly Shameless night. Jack Bassy will be DJing a little later on in the club.

Monday après means The Marivaux duo at The Rond Point and later on, catch popular band The Domino’s after a sneaky feed next door at Scott’s Bar. Buy any burger and get one free from 17:00.

If a burger isn’t tickling your fancy, sign up for a meat infused Monday at Evolution’s Meat Monday’s event. Pay €20 and indulge in an enormous sharing plate of meaty goodness including gammon steak, southern fried chicken wings, garlic prawns and kindo ribs followed by some soulful tunes from The Mardy Johnny Depps. All long island ice tea’s €7.50 between 22:00 and midnight.

LDV’s weekly Speakeasy event happening again this Monday from 22:00 with a 2-4-1 deal on all prohibition cocktails between 22:00-23:00.

Catch Daisy B & Tom for après at Jacks Bar followed by the venue’s massive Rock and Air Guitar Competition event. Jacks Bar is looking for anyone to sign up and glam up in their best rock gear and compete to win a €250 bar tab. Cheap shots available from 21:00 with €2 shots of genepi, toffee vodka, jager and sambuca on offer alongside €2.50 jagerbombs.

Mike and Richie hosting an après sesh at Ronnie, Hobo Chic playing at Evolution from 22:00 and Bubble & Crisp just up the hill will be DJing at the Pub. Enjoy Al Jones for your evening dining entertainment at The Den and downstairs, a Two Turntable Takeover with Ze Funkin English happening in the club till late.

This Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th, Lodge du Village is teaming up with New Generation and The Boot Lab to host a massive two-day event on the LDV terrace, The Village Fete. Have a wander around stalls from the guys at Bootlab, Planks, Fork Tree Ski, ESDS, Summit Photography and more while enjoying live music with Alex Davies Band and DJ Danz. Boot Lab will be hosting a ski test from 14:00 with New Gen instructors offering tips on how to improve your technique so grab your mates and head down to test out some gear.

Wednesday also means extended après at Jacks Bar with a three-band music medley line-up of The Mardy Johnny Depps, Wingmen and MAPS featuring from 17:00. Get there early for happy hour between 16:00-17:00 with cheap jugs of beer, hot chocolate, vin chaud, bottles of toffee vodka, bottles of prosecco and 2-4-1 spirit mixers.

Daisy B & Tom in The Den from 21:00 and The Wingmen playing from 22:00 at Pub for the bars weekly Wingmen Wednesdays event. From 22:00 Tsaretta in Les Allues will be having their twice weekly live music sessions.

This Thursday, head to the centre of town for The Tav’s Beer Festival hosted with Verre Gourmand and showcasing a selection of different beers and street food. This kicks off late afternoon but stick around a little later for a killer evening set with DJ’s Bubble & Crisp.

Thursday après means Hobo Chic at Jacks Bar or Bring Your Sisters at LDV. The Den is throwing a special 'Jamaican Me Hungry Grooves To Chew Food Too' event happening with DJ Wonka. Enjoy the soulful sounds of chilled reggae music alongside a flavour packed Jamaican themed menu. Downstairs in the club, UK party organisers, The Good Life, are hosting a Caribbean Beach Party to compliment the restaurants Jamaican menu event.

Friday night is Open Mic Night at Scott’s Bar hosted by Daisy B & Tom from 22:30 and Livewire playing across the road at Taverne.
