Meribel Appoints a New Permanent Director of Tourism
Eric Bouchet to take over as Director of Tourism
Back in December the Director of Tourism at the time, Christophe Gernigon-Lecomte, was sacked from his job just as the season was about to start. Since then a temporary Director has been in place, but the search has continued to find a permanent replacement.
That replacement has now been found, with Eric Bouchet taking over as Director of Meribel & Meribel-Mottaret Tourism in an unanimous vote.
Over 100 people applied for the role, however Mr Bouchet's credentials made him stand out from the crowd - he has a Masters in Economic tourism and recreation strategies, and a Master in Sports law, economics & recretation (both from Grenoble) as well as having run his own business he has also been an advisor to many others.
In his earlier life he was a ski instructor graduate and sailing instructor and competed in numerous competitions.
We wish him all the best in continuing to make Meribel a go-to desintation for prestigious summer and winter events and promoting the resort to a wider audience.
