Warm, sunny spring skiing in Meribel
Excellent late season skiing
After a cold winter a spell of warm weather is very welcome. We've been enjoying warm sunshine and great spring skiing and unlike previous season the majority of the resort is still open.
There's still a base of 75cm in the village and 320cm at the top of the resort. So despite the resort closing in a little under 3 weeks there is still plenty of snow. This is great news for ski tourers and off-piste aficionados, however snow generally doesn't like change so as we move into springtime proper avalanche risk is considerable at 3/5.
The weather for the coming week will see more warm temperatures but likely with some clouds and precipitation.
