What's on in Meribel this week

Rugby, parties, live music and great food & drink deals

featured in Nightlife reviews Author Alexis Beaumont, Meribel Reporter Updated

January was a month of snowfall, sunshine and plenty of fantastic live music and après entertainment across the Meribel Valley, but now that we're into February we can look forward to a new month of skiing and lots more events in Meribel.

February brings the French school holidays, the start of the six nations rugby tournament and fresh snow (we hope). For all you snow worshippers, the mountain may become busier this month but there’s no excuse to miss out on what’s happening in resort off the slopes.

Saturday

Saturday the 4th of February kicks off the start of a six-week international rugby tournament between England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, France and Wales. Whether you follow the sport or not, get involved as Meribel's bars and restaurants decorate their venues with the colours of the six nations flags and avid fans seek out a front row table to perch at during the games.

Lodge du Village, Jacks Bar and Barometer will be popular hubs for screening the matches this month with killer deals on offer for you to choose from. Jacks Bar is offering happy hour prices on jugs of beer during every game, the deal ends as soon as the first try is made! Alternatively, grab a jug of beer and juicy chicken wings for €30 during every match at LDV. The first game of the tournament is happening this Saturday at 3.25pm when Ireland and Scotland go head to head, then the game between England and France happens later the same day at 5.50pm.
