Meribel New Years Eve What’s On Guide 2014/15

What's on where this New Year's Eve in Meribel

featured in Nightlife reviews Author Jack Franks, Meribel Reporter Updated

As you sit there, stuffing your face with sandwiches filled with what is left of the Christmas turkey and trimmings, spare a thought for the lift operators and the pisteurs who have been hard at work over the festive period running the lifts and carving, pushing, scraping and shaping the resort into the ultimate playground for all you lucky snow lovers to enjoy.

I hope you are all feeling particularly appreciative; they’ve done a bloody good job. Why not go out and show them that appreciation by giving a ‘pistey’ or a ‘liftie’ that last mince pie or bit of Christmas cake you’ve got tucked away. Maybe even a few Quality Streets… not the orange creams though, nobody likes them, yuck.

Anyway, slightly off-piste with my intro there, back on topic… It’s nearly next year!

The slow start to the season has meant that the annual party in the Chaudanne will not happen on the usual scale this year. However there will still be music, a torch light descent and a fireworks display to see in the New Year! There will also be hot chocolate and vin chaud served from 6.30pm.

Elsewhere in resort there are plenty of fun activities all over the place. Most events are ticketed and you will need to purchase tickets from the different bars in advance of NYE.

Here is a New Years Eve What’s On Guide, Meribel 2014/15:

There will also be a special late night party at the Rond Point. This is one of the only opportunities you will have to go to the Ronnie after hours and it’s set to be a good one… especially now that they have their new built in slide to get downstairs.

Happy New Year everyone – hope it’s a good one!
