Writing and editing content on the See the World sun destination websites, Pam spends much of her time enjoying researching and writing about places that inspire her and ignite her passion for travel and culture.
Originally arriving in the Chamonix Valley for the winter and the steep slopes, Pam has come to love the summer months even more and is frequently found out and about on a mountain bike or hiking with some borrowed dogs.
Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, the US, India....and of course France!

It's a tricky one as different places are special for different reasons, but to pick just one I would have to say Kathmandu. This colours, the smells, the buildings, the culture, art and tradition...it is all consuming and utterly enchanting.
And it is surrounded by some of the biggest and most stunning mountains in the World - my happy place!
Images are a powerful draw to any destination. Other people's travel snaps and stories are generally what inspire me to travel, however, I can't help but be influenced and motivated by the images you see in publications such as National Geographic and Conde Nast Traveller.
A good place to sit with a coffee and watch the world go by is high on the list of things I want on my holiday - whether that be in a guest house, on a hotel balcony or a cafe in an amazing square or piazza.
Also good tasty vegetarian food. Not always the easiest thing to find in Europe, especially France, but the challenge is just as much fun and the reward at the end is usually worth it! India was particularly good for vegetarian food, especially in the south where I was based. If I can find a good 'masala dosa' in whatever city I am visiting then I will be happy.
With a background and degree in Fine Art: drawing & painting, I often choose to visit places that have a host of galleries and museums to browse around...although I have pretty strict thoughts and ideas on exhibition curation and flow, so you can be sure of an accurate critique!
Favourite places to stay
Happy to wander the markets and small traditional villages of any country I would look more towards the traditional boutique style of hotel or perhaps a charming B&B to get more of a 'local' experience. Although my trusty campervan has also given me a great insight to the more remote places and camping facilities in many destinations.
Sports & activities
Living in the extreme sports capital of the world has its plus sides. Each holiday you take does not need to be action packed and full of sporting activities as this is exactly what I get at home! However if you offer me a destination with sun, sea and mountain biking (preferably downhill) then I am likely to pack up my bike and head straight there.
Mission at SeeTheWorld
To inspire people to enjoy and experience some of those precious moments that I have been lucky enough to have had whilst travelling.
