Méribel Centre is the largest village in the valley offering the widest choice of accommodation, shops, sporting activities, restaurants and nightlife. The heart of Méribel Centre is located at the bottom of the village where there is the largest choice of shops and services. The resort spreads from here up the hillside, with smaller centres of shops and restaurants at Altitude 1600 and le Plateau. With its chalet-style architecture and woodland setting, Méribel is considered one of the most beautiful of France’s purpose-built resorts.
Méribel Centre’s restaurants offer something for everyone from fine dining or local cuisine to burgers and takeaway pizzas. The centre of town and Route de la Montée offer the widest selection of restaurants, and Morel and le Rond point areas also have several good French/International cuisine restaurants each. The hotels on the main piste running through Meribel offer good quality lunches on their restaurant sun terraces – ideal places for dining in the sun right on the slopes.

In winter, the Altiport hosts the beginner pistes, cross-country ski and walking trails, themed walking paths and sledding area, plus tourist flights on planes equipped with skis. In summer, you can play golf and set out on hikes from here, or simply enjoy two of the valley's best restaurant terraces.

Méribel offers a wide range of sporting activities, both winter and summer. In winter, you can enjoy skiing the 600km of pistes of Les 3 Vallées ski area with its snow parks, fun zones and cross-country trails. The resort’s Olympic Centre offers swimming, ice-skating, fitness, indoor climbing and bowling. Walking trails link the various villages and the adventurous can try activities such as paragliding, husky-sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, inner tubing, big air bags etc. In summer, Méribel offers mountain biking, hiking, an 18-hole golf course, tennis, kids’ clubs, flying, via ferrata and many more outdoor activities. If you prefer to be indoors, Méribel also has a cinema with films in English, regular exhibitions and a host of organised events from International Magic Festivals to regular live music. Méribel's 18-hole golf course is located at the Altiport area, a few minutes' drive above the centre of the village. It has a driving range, practice area and club house. The Club holds regular competitions throughout the summer; the course is closed in winter.

Méribel lies at the heart of the 3 Valleys, making it the ideal base to explore this giant ski area. Meribel’s main lift hub, la Chaudanne, is located at the foot of the resort. It can be accessed via the main piste which runs through the resort or via the free Meribus service. From la Chaudanne, fast, comfortable gondola lifts whisk you to both sides of the Meribel valley or to the Courchevel and Belleville valleys. the For those staying higher in Méribel centre, the Morel and Adret chairlifts give access to the Saulire side of the valley, so avoiding the sometimes busy Chaudanne area.
The area around the Tourist Office in Méribel Centre offers the liveliest après-ski scene, with live music and DJs playing at a variety of bars. For a more chic, upmarket venue, Méribel’s offers a choice of smart lounge bars in the resort’s four and five-star hotels. Méribel has two nightclubs, one at the Olympic Centre and the other in the Mussillon area.
