featured in News & reviews Author Pam Williamson, Meribel Editor Updated

After six weeks of ski racing and training in Chile, Cara Brown, has sent us a quick update of how she got on...and it's all good news!

"The races in Chile went better than expected as I brought home 6 bronze medals and 2 silver medals and scored personal best results in slalom, super g and Downhill.

"Last but not least I won the South American Cup overall champion title in Super G! (This is a title won based on the combined results of all the super g races). I also finished 2nd overall in Downhill, narrowly missing out on a second overall title. The South American cup is one of the 5 intercontinental cups which includes Nor-am, European Cup, Far East Cup and Australia New Zealand Cup.

"After winning the Super G title and coming runner up in the Downhill I have finished in 3rd place in the overall South American Cup standings!"

"I am now taking a few weeks off before getting my skis back on for my autumn training before the winter ski season in Europe begins."

We wish her luck for upcoming season! To read more about Cara, then have a look at our 'Meet the Locals' interview with her, here.
