The hotel is relatively small and intimate, and the public rooms, whilst elegant, are welcoming in feel. The bar, where one can enjoy a pre-dinner drink, is warm and cosily attractive with a grand open fireplace and large, comfortable sofas. The dining room is beautifully decorated with tasteful warm pastels in a luxury version of chalet style. Gentle music plays in the background and there is none of the hushed formality you find in many restaurants of this calibre.
