There are certain properties around that when you walk in you are immediately impressed. The Chalet Hotel Marie-Blanche is an utterly charming, beautifully renovated and styled, very comfortable hotel set high above the resort, within easy reach of the pistes.

The rooms are genuinely inviting, and on visiting you are either going to feel you want to book to stay here or rather pleased with yourself that you have just checked-in. Historically this is one of the oldest hotels in the resort and the original distinctive roof has been preserved.

All 20 of the rooms bar one, which is particularly suitable for younger children as a result, open out onto a large balcony and onto the extraordinary panorama of the mountains. There are different room sizes available, including one family complex, and are described as standard or superior, with various orientations - make your preferences known at the booking stage.

Downstairs there is a fine restaurant which is well-reputed in resort and open to non-residents, offering traditional French cuisine to an excellent standard. And their coffee is is rather good too.
